Messy house:

The weather forecast proclaimed rain all day Sunday, but thankfully it held off until after unloading. It started pouring when we arrived at the Diaz house later that afternoon to celebrated Micah’s birthday. We had steak, beans, rice, corn, biscuits, and Boston cream pie. After a wonderful dinner the boys played with paper airplanes while I updated the website.

Today was unpack and make orderly day. The bedrooms haven’t improved much since last night, but little by little they are taking shape. Gail is visiting us for the next week and will be a great help with the unpacking.

These next pictures are when we finished loading the house before moving things around. Tomorrow I will post more recent pictures with everything sort of in its place.

Last night I believe we all slept well. Micah and Tony were in the boy’s room, Dad and Mom in their room, David in his room in the basement, Jade in her room, and me in my room. Once I fell asleep I slept well until I woke up at the sound of Jade. She awoke at 6:45 a.m. with a bad dream. She didn’t want to go back to sleep alone, so I brought her in bed with me. We slept well until a few hours later. Dad went to work this morning, and the rest of us worked on the house. Tony left around noon to head back to Michigan. I worked in my room some, and worked in the kitchen a while. The kitchen is the only room in the house that is finished. We Wallen’s can function in a house with all the rooms out of order, except the kitchen. After all, if the kitchen is out of order, the chefs are confused, and meals are slow.
