For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,  so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.     John 3:16 Merry Christmas, friends and family!  We are grateful for another wonderful year.  I broke my ankle at the beginning of the year, but it healed well.  Just slowed me down a bit.  In April, a friend and I made a mission trip to a hospital/school/orphanage in Balfate, Honduras.  We carried in a large amount of baby clothes and equipment for the hospital to use.  It is always rewarding to bless people in the name of God.  I continue to weave both cloth items and baskets.  It keeps me busy.  We have been getting our house in Nashville ready to sell and will put it on the market in March.  Tom and I made a couple trips to Florida to visit Katie and Roberto and the kids.  In October, we returned to the Upper Peninsula for a few days.  We thoroughly enjoyed touri...

November 27, 2023     Hello friends and family!  We pray your family is well and that your year was filled with happy memorable events.  We have had a truly blessed year.  Visiting the lake house is the highlight of our life now, especially in the summer when the children and grandchildren come to visit.  The house is mostly finished; just a few odds and ends remain undone.  It truly is an idyllic place to reflect on the magnificence of God's creation.    Tom is still working as a healthcare architect and travels around the country a bit.  This fall, he and I enjoyed visiting Mackinac Island and the Upper Peninsula to view the breathtaking autumn colors.  We hope to make it a yearly practice.    Jade graduated high school in May, whi...

First Wallen Grandchild! Announcing Celeste Lynn Diaz!

The long awaited day arrived on July 20th, 2008. Katie and Roberto entered the hospital at 3:00 am. and Celeste was born a mere 18 hours later. She weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and is 20.5 inches in length. Beautiful? See for yourself!! HAPPY PARENTS Celeste looking lovingly at her mother. Daddy is in love, again! How lovely that baby in the window! The one with the beautiful eyes! Eyes wide open. First Diaper Change The feelings are mutual, I am sure. Roberto with his parents, Fernando and Celeste Diaz. The two grandmothers, Lynn and Celeste. Grandfather and Grandmother Wallen are blessed.
