Day 2
We started out this wonderful day with a cruise on the Sea of Galilee. We then stopped at a museum to view an ancient fishing boat that was discovered buried in mud at the edge of the Sea. It took many years to uncover it and preserve it for viewing.
We then travelled to the Mount of Beatitudes. The Franciscans own this land and allow the public to visit the property. Afterwards, we ate a lunch of St. Peter's Fish.
We then visited the ruins of Capernaum. There are so many buried ruins in Israel that the government does not unearth them all until someone comes along with some money to cover the cost.
We climbed in altitude up to the city of Nazareth. It is a heavily populated area, but mostly inhabited by Arabs. A nearby precipice gave us a fantastic 360 degree view. It is the precipice off of which the townspeople wanted to throw Jesus in Luke 4:29.
